Rooted in NatureRefined by Design

From a land that's first to greet the sun, we see the world from a different edge. Surrounded by water and inspired by the elements, we craft products that enrich daily life through design, balancing form, function and feeling.

Our Story

We set out to reinvent the bathroom.

Our scale has changed. Our purpose has not.

Plumbline began in Wellington in 1990. At the time, bathrooms were purely functional: plain, white and overlooked. We set out to reinvent them, driven not by necessity but by curiosity, a desire to do things differently and a drive for better.

Over 35 years we have grown into one of New Zealand's leading suppliers of architectural bathware, trusted by homeowners, designers, architects and merchants nationwide. We remain family-owned, combining the capability of a market leader with the responsiveness and personal service of an independent.

The Three Uniques

Design, quality, choice.

  • Brushed brass twin-handle boiling-water kitchen mixer pouring a steaming stream into a matte black ceramic teapot held by a woman's hand, on a dark stone benchtop against a board-formed concrete wall, with native tree ferns beyond the glazing

    Design

    Considered from the first sketch

An in-house product design team shapes every piece, so form, function and feeling are considered from the start.

  • Macro close-up of two overlapping ceramic vessels, a matte olive-green bowl resting against a speckled oatmeal one, with dark reactive glaze breaking along each rim

    Quality

    Made to endure

Made in Europe and here in New Zealand, and built to last. Quality you can specify with confidence and live with for years.

  • Contemporary bathroom in warm neutrals: a wall-hung timber vanity with an amber glass vessel basin and bronze mixer, a bronze-framed mirror, a glass walk-in shower with bronze rainhead and handshower, and three bronze vertical heated towel rails

    Choice

    One trusted source

A complete collection of premium architectural bathware from one trusted source, so every element comes together beautifully.

our approach

Design with purpose

We are design-led, creating enduring products shaped by our connection with the designers we work alongside, and grounded in a respect for natural materials. That connection drives our authenticity, a reductive approach and honest materials. Every great bathroom begins with a great relationship, between supplier, designer and maker. We go beyond supply, partnering with you from selection and specification through to delivery, with specialists who make specifying easy.
