Circus Mashimus at SXSW

Our friends at Mashery asked us to come up with a theme for their API Mashup lounge at SXSW. Only guideline was that it had to be extremely cool.

We created the Circus Mashimus theme as a way to attract people to the Mashery API lounge and keep them talking. And it all started with a dream of a Coney-Island side-show and and El Camino. Really.

After pitching the idea, and extending it to include other world-famous "real" mashups like Turducken, The Spork, and The Mullet, we created canvas side-show posters with the help of local artists Mike Eli and Savanah Snow. We added the graphics, and then created the identity, web pages, print ads and what turned out to be two of the most sought after t-shirts at SXSW.
